|You can not visit Japan without spending at least one night in an traditional exclusive Ryokan or a more family style Minshuku. In these places you usually have great Japanese dinners and breakfasts included in the price. You do not need to bring any special clothes as you will get a yukata ( bathrobe ) to use when you walk around the Ryokan as well as during dinner. Select one that has and hot spring bath (onsen) and preferably with an outside bath (rotenburo) |
Over the years I have visited the great Ryokan of Hoshokaku in the old city of Takayama. A great place to have a true Japanese stay!
