Soccer at River Plate Stadium, Buenos Aires

Soccer Buenos Aires
If you want to get some of that South American feeling for soccer one option is to watch a game in Buenos Aires. The city has several teams but you can not even mention those in the same sentence. That is how serious soccer is here! One option is to visit the River Plate Stadium or previously called " El Monumental"
This is the home stadium for Club Atlético River Plate team. The stadium can take 64.000 people but for safety reasons  usually only fill up to 49.000. The season is from Feb-Nov and there are games every Sunday. Tickets can be obtained directly from the club or join in a tour that you can book with the concierge at your hotel.
Join the fun but make sure what you wear as you don't want to look like a supporter from another team!
Don't be surprised when a plane is suddenly fly just right over your head. It will land in a minute at the National Airport next to the stadium!
