Kururi Tenugui store in Kamakura, Japan

Kamakura bath towel Japanese
The Tenugui is a traditional Japanese bath towel or a cloth to be used folded as a head band. These used to be one of the few privte things in a household in the old times but now they are used more as gifts or as table cloth or decorations. The Kururi store in the city of Kamakura about 50 minutes ride with a local train from Tokyo has a great selection of them as you can see on the pictures. They make great gift or you have to get one if you are to take part of a traditional Matsuri festival in Japan.
