Copy Shopping in Shanghai

If you are into shopping copy products in Shanghai this is one of the places to do it. It is located at 580 Nanjing West Road. This place is right down town so you don't have to head out to the Pudong side of the city.
Here you have 3 floors of fake bags, pashminas, Calvin Klein underwear, Apple products etc. Just remember that EVERYTHING is fake and you should pay in consideration with that. Prices should go down to 15-20% of the starting prices at least! If they say that your price is to low then just walk away and if they will not sell it they the price was to low. If not then they won!
Have fun!

Mint Nightclub -Shanghai

Mint Nightclub is the posh place to be in Shanghai. Located in a skyscraper not far from the Bund it offers great views of the city skyline as well. It has a great bar, a lounge, a big dance floor and a nice restaurant. The clientele is a mix of local Chinese with foreigners. The younger guests are by the dance floor and the older guests in the restaurant for dinner and then move over to the dancefloor when they feel younger later at night! The music is house, eclectic house funky house and mash. There is a door policy so call ahead if you want to be sure to come in! Weekdays are more easy to get in of course. The drinks are to be found from regular to astronomical prices!  Don't miss the huge fishtank with sharks swimming in it!
Love the place!

Shintori Restaurant, Shanghai, China

Shintori Shanghai
If you are in Shanghai and you want to eat really good Japanese food Shintori is the place to go. The restaurant itself is impressive as you can see on the picture. There is no sign by the entrance but when you get inside it and  you walk through the bamboo forrest you know that you have come to the right place. The food is a mixture of traditional Kaiseki and Japanese cross over. Order a few dishes at a time as the service is quick and you might feel a bit stressed if everything comes at the same time. Better to order a few times. The sashimi is great but the cooked dishes like the cod is even better.  Before or after you can also visit the bar next door. Make sure to book the tables in advance.

Le Royal Meridien Hotel, Shanghai, China

Meridien Shanghai
Le Royal Meridien Hotel is my new favorite hotel in Shanghai. The hotel is right by Peoples Square and on the shopping heaven Nanjing Road. The hotel is 66 stories high and the view from the rooms are stunning. Sometimes due to the fog in Shanghai you are really up in the clouds! The staff is great and there is a good mix of professional chinese and foreigners that speaks all different languages that makes your stay in Shanghai nice and smooth.
In every room you also have a free smartphone that you can bring with you when you go out. If you are lost you can google map your location and the locator will show you back to the hotel. You can call the concierge with it so they can tell the non English speaking taxi driver were you need to go. A great choice of restaurants and other tips can also be found in the phone.
Don't miss the jazzbar on the top floor, the pink Sunday brunch or just stay in the comfortable beds!
I love it!

Char Bar at Hotel Indigo, Shanghai

Char Bar Hotel Indigo Shanghai
When in Shanghai I always try to visit the great rooftop bar and restaurant Char at Indigo Hotel.
This supercool hotel has mixture of contemporary China and the Shanghai of the 1930th.
It is the place to have a drink during sunset with the cool crowd of Shanghai and enjoy the spectacular view of the modern skyline of Pudong and Huangpu river. If it rains or if it is to hot outside the bar inside is the place to be.
